Our dedicated volunteers compiled our KIA list, navigating historical military databases. In numerous instances, incomplete or inaccurate records necessitated extensive supplemental research. Through genealogical and newspaper investigations, we have successfully identified additional service members previously overlooked. Currently encompassing KIA's from the Korean War to the present, our project will soon extend to include those lost in WWI and WWII.
The criteria for KIA Project Boston is as follows:
In cases where the service member's remains have never been recovered (MIA), we honor them at an appropriate war memorial in Boston.
